At the Nittenau fire station, the chairman of the Kolping Family Nittenau, Werner Weindler, together with Gaby and Sigmund Weber, presented the Nittenau and Bergham fire departments with a check for 1,000 euros each. The donations were received by the chairman of the Nittenau Fire Department, Andreas Weidmüller, the chief of the Nittenau Fire Department, Kevin Teutsch, and the chairman of the Bergham Fire Department, Franz Schuierer.
The money comes from the proceeds of the Kolping Clothing Chamber and is a token of gratitude to all the volunteer helpers of the two fire departments who support their fellow citizens in their free time.
Weindler also recalled the flood in June 2024, when the fire departments had to respond to 55 incidents within a very short time.
