Incident Statistics for October 2024

Low Incident Volume – But Plenty of Action.

In October 2024, the Nittenau Fire Department responded to three calls. Two of these involved traffic accidents, which fortunately only resulted in minor property damage with no serious injuries. We also assisted in the rescue of a person trapped in a stalled elevator.

The First Responder Unit of the Nittenau Fire Department also saw an average number of calls in October, responding to 32 alarms.

In addition to emergency responses, our training continued in October. Together with multiple aid organizations, we conducted a large-scale drill at the Regental Gymnasium. The scenario: a chemical spill in the school's science labs. The drill focused on the decontamination of people and equipment, containing the hazard, and providing medical aid to "injured" individuals.

We also practiced a traffic accident scenario with the Neuhaus Volunteer Fire Department. Following this, we held a short training session on our new HLF 20 fire engine. These drills and training sessions strengthen the smooth and professional cooperation of all fire departments in the Nittenau area.
