In October 2023, our First Responders provided quick assistance in 33 cases before the ambulance service arrived, making it a relatively quiet month with only three fire department interventions.
These interventions included a small animal rescue and a ladder rescue, as well as the response to a kitchen fire. The fire, caused by burning oil, was swiftly controlled thanks to the prompt actions of the property owner, preventing a more serious outcome.
In terms of preparedness for emergency situations, we dedicated significant time in October to the training and further education of our team. This included participation in the SCBA training container and an intensive training day at the Regensburg Fire School, as well as involvement in numerous courses.
We are proud to report that several of our response groups successfully completed the "Water" proficiency badge. At this point, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all who achieved this success.
