"Fire response - interior attack with breathing apparatus"; this scenario raises tension even among experienced firefighters. To remain composed and well-trained, three of our SCBA wearers from our department, along with the volunteer fire department from Fischbach, participated in live fire training within a fire container in october 2023.
This realistic training opportunity is made available to volunteer fire departments in Bavaria thanks to the Bavarian State Fire Association and Dräger. In addition to the correct approach to a fire in a residential building, the ability to "read the smoke" to detect a flashover early is an essential part of the training.
