The First Responder Team successfully handled a total of 30 missions in April 2024.
In doing so, we also deployed our Corpuls mechanical CPR arm twice to provide the best possible patient care.
During the same period, the fire department was called to 8 missions. These ranged from clearing oil spills on the Regen river to assisting the emergency medical service with a turntable ladder in the neighboring district of Cham. The variety of missions demonstrates the breadth of challenges our firefighters face daily.
A particular highlight of the month was undoubtedly the blessing of our new Heavy Rescue Pumper, abbreviated HLF 20, on April 27th. This event not only marks the introduction of a state-of-the-art emergency vehicle but also an important milestone in the continuous development and adaptation of our resources to an ever-evolving field of operations.
However, even the best equipment is of no use without well-trained firefighters. Thus, the junior firefighters from Neuhaus and Nittenau, true to the motto "Start early", jointly practiced a patient rescue in steep and inaccessible terrain.
Overall, the past month was characterized by minor missions, successful operations, and significant events that underscored the cohesion and effectiveness of our team.
