Incident Report:
The Volunteer Fire Department of the City of Nittenau was called out seven times, while the First Responder was deployed a total of 31 times last month.
During a traffic accident on Dr.-Hermann-Kronseder-Straße, we assisted our colleagues from the Bergham Fire Department with traffic control. Our First Responder was also involved in providing patient care.
In the middle of the month, we were dispatched to Walderbach in the Cham district. According to the initial report, there was a fire in an agricultural building. Fortunately, this situation did not materialize as reported. Instead, only an agricultural tractor inside a barn was on fire. The fire was largely brought under control by the owners, so our intervention was not necessary.
A total of four times, the emergency medical service requested our assistance. We provided manpower to help transport patients.
At the end of February, an automatic fire alarm (BMA) in a local nursing home turned out to be a false alarm.
From the "Fire Department Daily Life":
A highlight in February was our annual "Kesselfleischessen" (traditional Bavarian pork dish event). Young and old gathered at the fire station for pleasant conversations and great food.
Throughout the entire month, our youth group worked diligently on their carnival float. You could already admire the results at the parades in Fischbach and Nittenau.
Training and drills were not neglected either. We conducted seven training sessions to prepare for real emergencies.
