On thursday, 04/06/2023 we had "transport of patients with stretchers" on our training plan.
Our firefighters could practice carrying patients with different kinds of stretchers. Tha main focus was on bringing the patiens to the stretcher as carefully as possible. We also got some useful tips and hints for that.
As we get more and more calls for EMS support with our ladder, we were also taught safe handling of the ambulance stretcher.
We also got the opportunity to examine the interior of the ambulance of the Bavarian Red Cross emergency response team Neunburg vorm Wald.
One highlight of the training was the handling of the mechanic CPR device "LUCAS 2".
Finally we could practice an exceptional situation. We had to support the EMS team by rescuing a person with our ladder from the first floor while the patient was being resuscitated.
The challenge was to take the EMS equipnemt over into the ladder basket and to hand them over quickly and carefully to the paramedics in the ambulance.
We'd like to thank the Bavarian Red Cross emergency response team Neunburg vorm Wald for their excellent training and look forward to further good teamwork!
